Marvel fans are in for a treat. This is the Airborne Battlecarrier Map. It makes me immediately think about the Helicarrier, which is the base of operation of the Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division, or maybe the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate, or perhaps the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. Either way, it’s SHIELD.
The absolute ideal starting point for your Marvel adventure, Airborne Battlecarrier Map contains 3 monumentally huge flying Battlecarriers. These are bloody huge aircraft carrier, decked out with boomsticks, and suspended a thousand feet in the air. The Marvel link, of course, is that they’re basically SHIELD helicarriers. Best viewed at dusk when the operation lighting twinkles gently in the dark.
Although the ships don’t look exactly like the Helicarrier, they surely was inspired by it. These Airborne Battlecarriers look more like pirate ships than the Helicarrier that we have come across in comic books, movies, animated series, or videos games. Maybe the map could use a recourse pack to create that modern look of SHIELD. Maybe the LD Modern Resource Pack should do the trick. Another thing is that the map would be difficult to be played on survivor mode, because there are no ways to get to the Battelcarriers and back. There are no steering devices on the ship, nor any alternative to the Quinjet for the Avengers to go on their missions. Also, the ground is completely untouched, a default map. So leaving the ships means that you go back to your everyday Minecrafting routine.
All in all, I think the Airborne Battlecarrier Map is just simply amazing. And I’m not just talking from a Marvel fanboy point of view. This map can be used as a background for a pirate-themed story or video. If you can think of a way to turn this into a showcase, you should definitely do it. Or even if you just want a nice map.
