When it comes to the word “chimeric” or “chimerical”, we normally think of something that’s unreal, unbelievable or otherwise out of the ordinary. Sometimes, it also can be considered visionary or imaginary, like the blocks in Chimerical Cubes resource pack. Because this pack was primarily made to modify the appearance of various blocks in the game of Minecraft, there are some great differences awaiting the players to explore. With this pack, the tools, ores, as well as look a bit different while the water and lava even have the different appearance. Surprisingly, there are no custom mob textures right there.
In spite of the boosted resolution of 32x, you will notice many of the block textures in this resource pack actually look pretty simpler than they do in the vanilla Minecraft. For instance, the solid stone looks really like a washed out gray gradient instead of a bit of rock with various colors layered throughout. On the other hand, the pack also features some really nice textures, including simple grassy dirt, different types of wooden blocks and planks, etc. There is even a custom GUI, which makes the interface look fairly like something etched into the side of the tree, presenting a very organic appearance that Minecraft does not normally have.
