As the name sounds, The Simple Modern resource pack is combination between simple pack with low resolution and modern pack which players use to create urban cityscapes. This pack is nearly finished and most new textures have already been operated. In this pack, everything is different except wooden blocks and blanks are similar in vanilla Minecraft.
You will find the change in this pack when access to advanced blocks like stone bricks, quartz blocks and redstone. Moreover, you can see the difference between the same looking things. Even trap chests, dispensers and droppers have been changed.
Although this pack supports for Random Mobs and Random Blocks, you need to have Optifine installed in order that the monsters and other textures render correctly. Also, MCPatcher is required to install. The combination of the low resolution, decent textures and unique user interface makes this pack be useful for players without any lag when playing.
